Liz Welch Hair Designs is located inside Hair DO Designs, next to JAX Grill, near the corner or S. Rice and Bissonnet in the heart of Bellaire, Tx.
A Master Hair Colorist and European Trained Hair Cutter, Liz has over 20 years experience in customizing beautiful haircolors and flattering haircuts. She has extensive training in Schwarzcopf, Goldwell, Tocco Magico and Framesi hair colors and can match, correct or change any color. Liz will listen to your wants and needs when it comes to the perfect haircut for your face and personal style. She can create the look that you want from a picture or design something new just for you.
Having extensive European training and working backstage at many a fashion and hair show Liz opened her first salon in the Galleria area in 1983. In 1994, she sold her salon to raise her then two-year-old. In 1997 she went back to work consulting and teaching hair color all over the state of Texas. This allowed her to learn advanced hair techniques and develope her own unique styles while rebuilding her clientele by word of mouth. After much learning and personal growth, Liz settled in Bellaire with her good friend Danny at Hair DO Designs.

Brazilian, Keratin Global, Keratin Complex, Kerastyle, Sun Pure, Brazilian Keratin, Brazilian Blowout, LiComplex quid Keratin, Keratin by Coppola, Rejuvenol and Nano Complex are all different brands of the conditioning treatment that is the hottest fad to hit hair salons since Brazilian waxing. Many of these treatments contain 10 times the amount of Formaldehyde the FDA considers safe. And the carcinogenic fumes expelled during the treatment are inhaled by the client and the stylist.
After much research my favorites are Coppola, Rejuvenol and Nano Complex Keratin Treatment to be my favorites.
Nano Complex Keratin Treatment is Formaldehyde Free and Aldehyde Free leaving the hair silky, shiny and frizz free for 2 to 6 months without the dry, flat, lifeless look of many of the other Keratin Treatments. There are two options. One has more straightening ability, takes 3 to 4 hours and cannot be washed for 72 hours after the treatment costin $300 to $500 depending on the density of the hair. The second, becoming very popular, leaves the hair with body, takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours and can be shampooed after 24 hours costing $150 to $200. Both are Formaldehyde Free, food grade and are safe to use on pregnant or nursing mothers. (As with any hair color or chemical process I always suggest clients check with their doctors first.)
Feather Hair Extentions now available! Assorted natural and vibrant colors. As seen on celebrities such as Ke$ha, Steven Tyler, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. We carry feathers in different colors, ranging from 4-12 inches in length. The feathers can be washed, blow-dried, brushed, curled, and straightened. Placed in the hair with a removable bead, the feathers can stay in the hair for up to two months.
